Welcome Message – EMC 2026
Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 10th International Congress on Entomopathogens and Microbial Control (EMC 2026), to be held in Ankara, Turkey, from 27 to 29 October 2026.
At a time when global agriculture faces unprecedented challenges—from climate change and biodiversity loss to the rapid spread of invasive species—the need for sustainable and innovative pest management solutions has never been greater. Entomopathogenic microorganisms stand at the forefront of this transformation, offering environmentally sound and scientifically advanced alternatives to conventional control strategies.
EMC 2026 aims to serve as a dynamic platform where science meets practice. By bringing together researchers, practitioners, and industry stakeholders from around the world, the congress will foster the exchange of knowledge, inspire new collaborations, and promote cutting-edge research in microbial control.
The scientific scope of the congress reflects the evolving nature of our field. From classical studies on isolation and identification to advanced approaches such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and functional biology, the congress embraces the full continuum of research—extending from fundamental science to real-world applications in agriculture, forestry, and public health.
This year’s congress carries a deeper meaning as it coincides with a year dedicated by UNESCO to Sheikh Edebali, reminding us of the enduring value of knowledge, wisdom, and guidance across generations. Inspired by this perspective, the theme of EMC 2026 has been defined as:
“Ancient Wisdom, Modern Science, Sustainable Pest Management”
We believe that meaningful scientific progress emerges not only from technological advancement but also from a deep understanding of nature and accumulated knowledge.
Over the past 18 years, this congress series has grown into a respected international gathering, bringing together a diverse community of scientists and professionals. With the continued support of academic institutions, public organizations, and the private sector, EMC 2026 is set to further strengthen this tradition.
We warmly invite you to join us in Ankara—at the heart of Türkiye—for three days of scientific exchange, collaboration, and inspiration.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Sincerely,
On behalf of the Congress Organizing Committee
